Complete TJ drivetrain swap into a Cherokee?
I have a 2000 Cherokee with an engine that's about to go, and I was looking into swapping it to a 2002 TJ 4.0, NV3550 & NP231. Has anyone ever done this before? I know that I'll have to use different motor mounts cause of the clean sheet design but will everything else line up where it should be? and can I use my existing wiring harness?
Dump the cherokee, its not worth anything. buy a wrangler and dont look back. Youd have to pull the driveline from the same model year so that the harness clips and plugs would be the same, but thats if the harness is compatable which I dont think they are, the computers are different for sure.
I called Brow Dog Motor Mounts and they said jeep change how the blocks bolt up for the TJs in 2000 & up, ide like to get a wrangler but I don't have the money for it, Cherokees are cheaper to build, and my first name is James
