cj7 trans swap

Hi, i a looking into swaping my 3 speed auto transmission for one with OD. is this possible? what OD trans will fit? i have a 4.2 6 cyl. any info on this matter will help, thanks.

both the 700R4 and the 4L60 can be swapped in but both will require adapters for the 258 to Tranny as well as the Tranny to TCase adapters...easily over $1000 in adapters on top of cost of tranny.

Phase Three: Waggy 44 front, Scout D44 Rear, 4.56's, ARB's (F/R) SOA with YJ Springs, 35x12.50x15 BFG MT - Not Even Close to beginning

Also a mostly rust-free 1970 Scout 800A That I'll get to start working on someday...
