Cj7 automatic transmission help

Have an 84 cj7 with factory straight six engine and drive train. The automatic transmission will not go into any gear. Thoughts? Should I rebuild or replace? What should I put in there? I am running 4.56 gears on 35's. I want to be able to drive on the highway to trails. Thanks!
