Checking Trans Oil
ok i know this might sound dumb. but i'm new to jeeps.

how do you check and add fluid to the transmission.

1990 wrangler I6/ manual 5 speed

This might be what you are looking for.
I have an 87 5 speed. I just changed all the fluids on mine. The drain plug is on the rear of the transmission. The fill plug is one the passenger side towards the back of the tranny and about 1/2 way up. I had to grind a 3/8 inch extension equally on all 4 sides until it fit in the plug. (I have the French transmission).
