Check engine light, HELP

I am new to this forum so I hope I'm in the right place. I have a 2005 Laredo and I have two codes coming up on the cel, one is p430 and the other is p0710. I have noticed lately it is losing power going up hills and sometimes jerks or shudders when accelerating. I can't afford to take it to the dealership to be fixed or checked out and I am a single woman and know absolutely nothing about engines. I know auto repair shops often take advantage of women because they know they know nothing about them and will go along with anything they say. I need some advice on where to start and what I should do. I live on the outskirts of Augusta, ga. Thanks in advance for your help.
