catalytic converter

I think mine may be clogged so would it be safe to remove it until I can get someone to put another on... It looks like its welded. So I would probably have to saw it off.....What do you all think?

some here will disagree, i haven't had one in mine for 8 months. i just put a lenth of pipe in its place. of coarse it is not good for the enviroment (this is my disclaimer)

ya mine became clogged also. I just cut it off and just rewelded it back togther (bypassin the CC)

Bad for the enviroment i know

Will removing it improve my power and performance?

My jeep has been running very rich for the last year due to a bad o2 sensor... could this clog a CC?

it will be louder but dont expect any noticeable power gains.
