Can't remove Dana 35 C clips with a Detroit locker. HELP!!!!

Just like the title says. I know how its "supposed to work" I've done it before on non-locked axles. But I just CAN'T get the axle to budge!

I've gone so far as to use ratcheting tie downs, and a hammer and still nothing!

So what am I doing wrong??

Does it have a c-clip eliminator installed?

Keep in mind that free advice can frequently be worth less than you pay for it.

Your basically right. turned out to be an early xj axle, D35 non c-clip. I didnt even realize they made a non c-clip 35 so the thought never even crossed my mind to take off the backing plate bolts and pull.
