cam questions

hi, 2003 jeep grand cherokee laredo 4.0i6
my jeep has the infamous lifter tick
so i removed the head to check, pulled all lifters,
and checked them, they all looked good with even wear and no cupping or scoring, so i proceeded to use a dial indicator for my camshaft to check lift.
i checke it while lifters and pushrod was in .
these are my findings .. highest reading was .250 and lowest was .241
now i think i found stock specs wich are
Camshaft Lobe Lift
Exhaust: 6.579 mm - (0.259 in.)
Intake: 6.477 mm - (0.255 in.)
is this cam any good,??

did you remove tension from the rockers? Hydraulic lifters are not solid with engine off and the plunger spring will give a little.

Usually .001 is max for lobe wear. How accurate is your measuring? Are you using a dial indicator?

yea, i used a good dial indicator, the worse one was .013 out,
surprisingly the damb thing wasnt missing, just a mild lifter tick is all
hell being that far out the thing should have been missing
