axle swap

Can anyone tell me if there is a differance in a tj front axle & a xj front axle? I want to swap front axles with an 02 wrangler & a 92 cherkee.

As long as the cherokee axle doesnt have the disconnect system on it you should be fine, and from what I know and have read many TJ owners like this upgrade as its better for them since the Cherokee axle is a High Pinion axle whereas the stock TJ axle is Low Pinion. So yes, if there is no disconnect on the axle you should be fine.

My 00 TJ has 3.73 gears and my 92 cherokee had 3.07's

Oh yeah might wanna check on the gear ratio, unless you plan on re-gearing both at the same time.
