Aspirated 258?

Is there any reason why no one has every turbo-charged a 258? Is it possible?? Do you think there would be a market for such a kit if it were possible?

Thanks for the help,

Adam

Thats incorrect, you can put a turbocharger or supercharger on a carbureted engine. You can also put fuel injection on the 258.

I think you would be better off just dropping in a v8 but I do remember reading about someone who put a supercharger on theirs, not sure it was on these forums.

one can turbo a carbed motor

i doubt it if any one would be interested in it
the nature of the power delivery form a turbo, jerky and favoring the topend is not what most poeple would want in an off road vehicle
