Anyone who knows 2.5 to ? Conversion...

I have the anemic 2.5 in my 84 Cherokee. I am wondering if the 2.8/3.4 will bolt up to my current tranny. Does anyone know if this is possible? If not, what will bolt up to the Torqueflite 904?

Thanks.....
