Any helpful tricks to reassemble a CV driveshaft joint?
I completely disassembled my Spicer CV joint setup, including popping out the ball. I expect to buy the replacement parts today. Does anyone have any helpful tips to reassembling this thing. I Googled it but didn't find anything I had not figured out in the disassembly. Rear joint first, then ball, then front. The only trick I thought of was maybe use a thin zip tie to hold the ball part together while the outer u-joint is installed.
