It started yesterday. I was idling in traffic, then as I start to take off, the engine sputters hard then dies. I waited about 20 min, and it started again. I'm now currently stranded in a yuppie bar parking lot waiting again. This time I was taking a right turn, it sputtered hard for about a sec then died. No check engine light.

Still won't start. I sprayed starter fluid in the intake, still nothing. Does anyone have any ideas where to go from here?

Not sure. I saw something about a spark tester that lights up when connected to the plug. I thought about grabbing one from auto zone to check.

FIXED! The plastic "rivet" that held the distributor's rotor together failed. I opened the cap and it looked as though it had exploded. New rotor and 10 bucks later, fixed.
