93 YJ 4.0 HO fuel problem

I have been running a 93 YJ with 30" AT tires for a few years and it runs like a champ but sometimes when i'm on the gas it has little periods, like a split second where you can feel the jeep sort of slow down...almost like you let off the trottle a little bit. i was curious if anyone else has any input...i was gonna change the fuel filter but i seem to have the feeling its in the gas tank...wanted input before really diving into that project... could it be something else?

Bone stock except for 2" lift and 30" tires...engine has been kept in very good condition
