'93 2.5L engine rattle

I have this rattling sound coming from the timing chain cover, as best I can tell. Not a ticking from the lifters, nor rod knocking. Good oil pressure. Ran with the drive belt removed to eliminate the alt, W/P and PS pumps. While running and no belt, I don't feel anything with my hand on the timing cover, so thinking it is inside.

I replaced the timing chain and gears a couple weeks ago, thinking wear/stretch was allowing the chain to hit the cover. No rub/wear marks on the inside of cover. The tensioner and chain guide looked fine and worked, so I didn't replace them. The plastic wear pads did have small grooves from the chain, but not enough in my mind to need replaced. The tension worked fine.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I had that exact same sound for years. It goes away when you are off-idle, right? All of my club's mechanic buddies (certified high end guys) said "Some do that, don't worry about it." I didn't for years. I even got a deal on a mild cam and lifters, and it still rattled. I eventually decided the [lack of] power sucked though, so the 4.3 went in last Nov.
