Hello i just recently purchased a 92 YJ and I have a question. I just recently changed the u joints in the front and back, but while trail riding my rear driveshaft sheared right at the cv joint. When the shaft broke the yolk on my transfer case was damaged and now I'm looking at a moderate repair job. My question is this. Can something in the transfer case have caused the shaft to bind?

Excessive driveline angle.

Shouldn't the sye with the longer shaft eliminate that? It only has a 4 inch lift

Yes it should.
Crap I combined your thread with the other one...
Did/does your Tcase have enough fluid and is the drive chain broken?

Trans case seems fine other than the yolk being broke...no funny sounds or signs of a leak. I'm thinking some trash may have got into the u joint while installing but I really don't know.

I haven't checked the fluid. I'll do that as soon as I'm back home...out of town at the moment

Nothing in the t-case caused that, it's common to see when you exceed the angle. I have replaced many end yokes from going beyond the working angle they can be operated at without modification to the end yokes and the rest of the shaft.
You may just need to limit your rear axle

Any advice for repairing the yoke? It broke a large chunk out of the yoke on my t-case and I need to order a new one. I see lots of em online but I'm not real sure which one to get. Are they all basically the same or are some better than others?

The end yoke you can get at your local driveline shop, no real better version, there are some different versions you could use and they have different lengths end to center V PP used to make a 4340 I'm not sure they are anymore. The yoke didn't break from power so I wouldn't worry about needing that 4340 piece, check it out and see if your into bind when you get it back together
