Try replacing the fuel filter(s).

dies

does this seem to happen only after the vehicle is warmed up and does it crank right back up or just try to crank and die?

it does die once it is warmed up, but you turn the key off and then back on to start it and it will take a couple of tries before it cranks over

iT COULD BE THAT YOUR FUEL PUMP IS NOT ABLE TO HOLD PRESSURE.

Any local shop SHOULD be able to check your fuel pressure. Yours does have a carburator, correct? The reason I ask is that there is an ignition module near the water bottle that has been known to go bad. If this is the case the ignition model has 2 part numbers, 1 has superseded but is still available at some dealership, the part is the same for a 2.5 or 4.2L. p/n 4883922aa is 105.00 and p/n 53005079 is 96.00. it is an expensive part to just try out and I don't know the availability of it for you.
