I found this in craigslist.
"i have a 60in center ford 9in rear end " what does the 60 inch center mean? Heres the full quote just fyi "i have a 60in center ford 9in rear end with pumpkin"

probally a early bronco axle they where in the 58'' to 60'' WMS ( wheel mounted surface ) range, jason.

As jason m said, the ad is probably referring to the WMS-WMS measurement when it says 60".
Center most likely means it has a centered pinion.
