89 4.0 or 4.2?

im really confused. from what people have told me 89's didnt have fule injection, and they had a carburoator. but my 89 is a 4.0 litre i think and i am positive it has the box intake... should i have somthing different?

1989 cherokee 4.0ltr

i have put 20 dollars into my jeep and have fixed 19 things, coincidence? I think not.

Is it a Cherokee?, if yes then you have a non HO4.0L with the renex multi port injection system.
My pos DD
90XJ Laredo 4.0L(now HO) Auto, 6.5"lift, 36"x12.5"SSR's, custom this and that (snorkle, rockers, bumpers, etct), winch, lights, more crap to come.

Wife's DD
90XJ Ltd Up Country, Bored and stroked 4.7L I6 Auto,
2.5" lift 31x10.5"Hankook AT's.
