85' CJ7 power steering high pressure line question

I just replaced my steering box and intermediate steering shaft. I got the power steering lines reconnected to the pump. Started her up to get new power steering fluid circulated and noticed that it was spewing out from the high pressure line fitment where it goes into the pump. I unscrewed it from the pump and noticed that there wasn't an o-ring. Is there supposed to be one? Or did I just not have the fitment screwed into the pump well enough?

Pretty certain power steering lines don't use O rings, just flare fittings. Need to make sure the line ends are clean and not knicked prior to assembly, applying a little fluid to the threads of the fitting prior to install will help getting the line tightened down properly.
