84 cherokee bogs back fires etc.

I have a 1984 jeep cherokee when I have my head lights on the head lights will randomly shut off and the engine will rev up and after alittle while the lights will turn on and the engine will bog down and you will hit the gas and it will backfire bog and shut off... any ideas??

Headlight is probably unrelated. Had the headlight issue and a switch was Burned in the plug. Check timing lately?
84 xj 350tbi, sm465, 203/205, 60/70. links and other junk.
what size sawzall blades does it take to fit 40's?
