8.8 questions

ok so here it go's I have a 1996 gc 4.0...now what I wanted to do was swap out the d35 rear with a ford 8.8. I have the 8.8 axle at the junk yard waiting for me with disc brakes 3.55 gears. My questions are 1) will my disc brakes from the d35 work with the 8.8? 2) am I going to NEED wheel spacers due to the 8.8 being a lil shorter? if so would I have to replace the wheel studs to longer ones? 3) as for the drive shaft I know spicer makes an adapter but would I need to cut down my driveshaft? or could I pull a driveshaft out of another truck to fit my set up? or would my original driveshaft work? I think thats all the questions I have if anyone comes up with other ideas please put them out there....ps already got a plan for the brackets.

That does help a lot but does anyone know if my calipers from my zj will work with the 8.8 discs? or will have to replace my calipers?

I have been lookin at threads and it appears people just keep the 8.8 calipers on the axle and just hook their brake lines right up to that. not sure tho but it looks that way.

When I did the swap on my 98GC, the calipers would not fit. One thing good is that the e-brake is a direct bolt up to the 8.8 disc equipped Explorer axle.
