'73 J2500 pickup, 258 L6, timing chain question

I am doing some work on my pickup right now, and I remember the previous owner stating that he replaced the timing chain. Through the process of tearing the engine down and fixing a few previous things, I realize that I cant really rely on his work and I am wondering if he might have put it back together wrong.

On mine, it looks like the sprocket on the crankshaft (the smaller one on the bottom right) is keyed. However, I am unsure right now whether or not the camshaft sprocket is keyed as well. I am wondering if there is a chance that when he replaced the timing chain, he may have rotated the camshaft and put it back together with it being slightly offset.

In a worst case scenario, where it isnt keyed, a previous thread I read somewhere mentioned having to reset the valve timing. Any advice on how this would be done would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time.
