Today when trying to engage my 4wd the lever just kind of floated around in there and didn't do anything. No lights came on and it didn't feel like there was even anything in there to engage.

It's a 2003 TJ

Yea it was an easy fix. The metal rod just came out of its housing so I just had to put it back in.

Are you lifted? Do you have a tcase drop? That rid will pop out if there's bad angles

I was doing some work on the exhaust last week and when I took the skid plate off the tcase dropped down a bit and popped that out I think. I didn't notice it when I was putting it all back together.

Did you support the transmission and TC with a jack or jack stand when you removed the skid?
