4l60e occasional no shift

so recently ive had an issue with my 4l60e trans where it will stick in first gear, then once the rpms are way higher than they should be, it slams into second, and after that it wont go back to first till it let the jeep sit for a few hours.

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

I could be a bad solenoid.
Horsepower is like a hot girl with STDs. You know you want to hit it but you're afraid of the consequences.
