42rle shift kit install?

Hello,

I need to change my fluid and filter on my 2009 unlimited. My question is if I am already dropping the pan should I install a shift kit to prolong the trans life? Thoughts?

There is only one shift kit I know of for the 42RLE, the A604 by Transgo. Unfortunately it will not make your trans last longer, but may help with firmer shifts.

I should also point out if you do want to do something positive for your trans, add an external cooler and change the fluid when it's supposed to be. The two things that hurt the 42RLE the most are heat and improper maintenance.
