4 cyl. performance

Can anyone tell me if they like the performance of the 2.5 in the wranglers?
I have a '79 CJ-5 304 and I am considering buying a newer wrangler for daily transportation but concerned about taking the 4 cyl. offroad if I put larger tires on it.

YES!!!no it's not the most powerful thing i've ever run before, but you don't buy a jeep for racing.with the right gears you can go anywhere the v 8 jeeps can go.(with a lot more gas left over )remember,it's all in how you build it.
