4 cyl to 6 cyl swap issues

Ok I became the lucky guy that has ended up having to do an engine upgrade on a Wrangler. Due the an accident on the owners part. Long story short I have a 4.0 to install in a 4 cyl Jeep.
Ok 4 cyl engine and trans and transfet removed. Have a complete 4.0 trans and transfer and engine all ready to go in. Have a 4.0 wire harness and ecu to install.
I have read a few different peoples stories about there engine upgrade and have noticed that I need to find new engine mounts the ones that weld to the frame either shorten one drive shaft and legnthen the other. And change the head pipe.
My question is. Is there a swap kit for this project and if so were the heck can I get it from?

I havent heard of a swap kit. Yep driveshafts are different and engine mounts need to be moved, you probably can cut off the old ones and reweld them on.

I did this swap, and it is a PITA to remove and reweld those frame ears. If you can source them out as weld ons from the stealership, or find aftermarket ones for a reasonable price I would go that route. I cut and rewelded mine at the sake of three hours + per side with a cut brake line by accident. In hindsight, the entire day spent doing this and the extra hour to cut, flare, and join my damaged hard line for the brakes...I would have gladly paid $100 per side to just wled in new oneswith complete disregard to the condition of the ones I pulled.

I couldn't find anything in the form of a kit because everything you need is already there. If you have the donor motor, I would hope you have a header from it, if not a trip to a boneyard will find you one. Almost all of the ones on 4.2l, 4.0l renix, and 4.0l HO are the same. Just be sure to weld the join in the pipes at the flange before installing as there is a 90% certainty you will be doing this in the future anyways...
My $0.02

So far the owner has been getting the parts. They got the engine and trans separate. Brought me the trans with out a torque converter. Went and got the converter and it did not fit trans or flex plate. Eventually a trans set up arrived. But the flex plate was still unusable. Well a flex plate I could use arrived.
I was told the motor mounts could be reused. But No they can't. Needless to say this Jeep has been here for nearly 5 months due to the fact that I was not getting the parts. Now I hit this snag and it starts all over again. Do you know what years are interchangeable I did find the mounts on EBay but there for a 97 and newer. I think the one I am working on is a 95 or 96.

Are you referring to the frame mounts or to the actual motor mounts? The frame mounts (the ears welded to the frame) are identical, with the exception of their location (about 5" rearward in the 2.5l engine bay), but the motor mounts are most likely different part numbers. I didn't even try to re-use my motor mounts as they were 200k miles on them, and it was $10 a side for new ones.
