4.7l Jeep to Dodge Ram

I was wondering if anyone has pulled the 4.7l from a jeep and put it in the dodge ram? I have an 03 ram that has started to burn up some oil, and due to the miles I would like to swap a new one in. How compatible are the versions from the jeep or the durango's? I am just looking at the price vs getting the hemi. Whats a good price to pay for a takeout 4.7l? THanks Tom
