but yeah i agree, i would have loved to picked up a forged steel 8 counter weight crank and built a un-killable 4.7... i'll have the torque of a diesel with this huge crank though

i said motor, not jeep hahaha.. Synthetic oil goes a long way in terms of motor longevity

ive already had to get a front driveshaft, pass side wheel bearing and driver side knuckle replaced because i apparently broke them. my mechanic said that my knuckle was bad from the factory though.

thankfully ive had chrysler pay for those repairs

i dont think new tires will be so big they'd be noticeable - after all most people think rubicons come with lifts from the factory.

Man, I am hoping to doing this in my 87. I want to find someone who dropped a V-8 into their TJ and has a low mileage 4.0 I can pick up, but that is in the future right now I want to finish the 4.0 head swap and get the rest of the drivetrain back to 100%. I think if I get the money I might have to try a build similar to this, but i will be watching how it goes

Finishing a 4.0 Cyl.head swap, Just got an AX-15 NP231J combo to replace the busted t-case and craptacular BA10/5. Adding Nutter bypass. Probably more to come before it is back as a DD!

Build Update:
The stroker build has been put on hold temporarily. it will pick up and resume again but i have more pressing jeep things i need to spend my hard earned cash on at the moment. hopefully this can start moving along again next summer

From what Ive read a lowbuck 4.6 wont make massive power. Maybe 230-240. Im guessing a 4.7 wouldnt make much more that 260ish before getting unreliable, no matter what oil you put in. Do you know what parts your reusing or buying new? The 12wt will make the engine smoother, but it wont effect hp.
