4.2 engine idle and when in drive/4 wheel intermittant engauging

when i go down the highway it runs great when i come to a stop the rpm drop and the engine stalls,i have replaced
the complete exhaust system,oxygen sensor,intake manifold sent out and honed,new gasket ,plugs.rotor cap,rotor,pvc valve, set timing,and
egr tube,what could it be,when i come to a stop i have to goose the gas to keep it from stallin
i'm lost and frustrated have spent alot of money also replaced the carborater and problem still persist ,please help!
also my 4 wheel drive doesn't engauge i replaced the shift motor in the front axel,and still i'm experiencing the engaging being intermittant
now it doesn't at all i checked all vacuum hoses,what else could it be? thank you,gadget

4 WD problem could be the vacuum switch on top of the trans. Stalling could be PCV. Mine rattled when shaken, but proved to be the problem. Could also be a leaky carb. Check where the throttle shaft enters the throttle body. Check by wiggling or by spraying carb cleaner while at idle.

hang a vaccuum guage on the motor and check it against specs.It sounds like vacuum problem.guage is cheap enough and at least you could rule that out.

89 yj w/ mopar mpi and 4.0 head.94 ax-15 tranny and t-case, more mods comin.
