4.0L engine RPM
I have a 92 YJ w 4.0L
What are the Ideal engine RPM for offroad & hwy driving? What is the safe maximum RPM for sustained use such as highway Driving &/or rockcrawling? One reason I'm asking is I'm going to regear form 3.07 to 4.56 and wondering if I'll still be able to cruize at 65+ mph with 31" tires. I'll eventually upgrade to 33"

With your AX-15's .79 OD ratio, here's what my calculator gave me:
at 65mph: 31s and 4.56 - 2539 rpm 33s and 4.56 - 2385 rpm Should be perfectly fine ![]()
