my dad resnetly bought a cj5 w/ the 304 in it, and it looks like it slants down (toward transmission) about 1-2 inches down. are all 304 like that? i know my cj doesnt but its the straight six.

Does it have a lift with a T/C drop? Or possible a MML? But engines seldom sit level in the frame rails. Most are meant to aim down at the rear end. Bob

Does it have a transfer case lowering kit? Look under the Jeep and see if it has spacers between the skid and the frame. that's what dropped the rear of the drivetrain. Bob
