$230 too much?

ECU in the YJ is dead (no spark). Went from end-to-end troubleshooting and replacing parts in the ignition system and it can only be the ECU. I'm pricing out rebuilds and am finding the average price $200-$230. Nobody so far has an cores so it would have to be a rebuild of my own. Is this too much money?
