2002 Liberty 3.7L Power Tech V6 Engine Question

Hi Everyone.....

May be a stupid question. I have the 2002 Jeep Liberty with the engine in the title...Was looking around and CAN NOT find Sparkplugs let alone wires and a distributor. HELP! Where are these suckers! Would anyone have a link to a good diagram of the engine?

Hi! There are no plug wires and a distributor as Jeeps used to. Each cylinder has a coil over the plug. If you look at the engine near each fuel injector will be a 2" square black plastic box with a 2 wire connector attached and it is held down with one 10mm nut. Remove the nut, unplug the connector and remove the coil from the cylinder head. Way down in the bottom of the hole is the spark plug. For the right bank it gets a little tricky with the coolant resovior in the way.

Hope that helps!
