2.5L Manifold Snapped off last bolt...

I was told from the local Jeep enthusist shop guy that the manifold warps with hotter octance from California gas and it snaps bolts off like crazy unless you switch to a stainless header, so I dont really have an exhaust leak but im scared for the future to come, the bolt is off in the block and was curious how I would go about getting it out if i wanna put on a stainless steel header.. heard a few different ways but since its that last bolt closest to the firewall its hard to get to(dill/tap/easyout... arc welder with a copper washin n shut the machine off and hope u hit the head of the bolt and not the block) anyone got any simple quick and easy ways so i dont have to pull a **** loada stuff off to get the bolt outta the head?

drill or tap it out, or pay a shop, lol. I can do anything to my Jeep, but some stuff I pay other people to do for me.

Last year I noticed the last bolt in the rear of mine was broken off also. I tried several methods (drilling, easy-out) all to no avail, it really is tight back there to try and get that out. I eventually took the head to a local shop and had them repair. Also had them check the head while it was off.

So my vote would be, have someone else do it. If I had it to do over again, I'd just drive the Jeep to a shop and have them fix it.

There is a warranty for this out from DC. It covers the bolts and the catalytic converter. It a 8year/80,000 mile Some has said it was extend till 10year/120,000 but you need to call DC for that. If the Dealer say they don't know about thats BS, just call DC and tell them which dealership and they will call to info them about it. I had to have both replaced and both were free of charge. This should cover all the 2.5 and 4.0 in the YJ/TJ/XJ
