1997 grand cherokee t-case swap

HI I have 1997 grand cherokee limited 5.2L I am pulling a trailer for a new job and would like to do a 2wd t-case swap so I can get better fuel milage. is there anything you can help with wo dering what t-case I would need and will I need diff driveshafts or a different 4x4 computer? any help would be appreciated thanks

Just remove the front driveshaft??

I was going to do that at one time but as I started taking the bolts out on the differetial side gear lube started leaking out so I hurried up and bolted it back together
