1990 YJ 4.2l to 1999 WJ 4.0l swap

I've looked this up and can't find any Definitive answers on if this is possible and what it would take to make happen if so. Will you gurus help me out with this? Thanks

To clarify, wanting to know if the 1999 4.0l from the JGC Laredo 4x4 can be put into a 1990 Wrangler in place of the 4.2l.

Long story short, I'm selling the 1999 jgc motor. The guy who owns the Wrangler has contacted me wanting to know if my motor will work. I know that it is not a direct fit and would like to know what to tell him he would need to do to make it work. Any suggestions?
