1989 YJ 2.5L Bellhousing

Guys,

I just purchased a 89 Wrangler and noticed that I can see the flywheel in the bellhousing. Actually, looking up from the oil pan, I can see exactly where the starter meets with the flywheel and it looks like half the flywheel is exposed. Is there supposed to be a cover for the lower portion of the bellhousing or do I possibly have a different bellhousing than normal. The transmission is the stock AX-5. Any advice?

Dave

Does the cover just bolt up or does it slide between the engine and the bellhousing? Is it something I have to remove the transmission to replace?

Thanks!

Better yet, is the cover a two part cover?

It's one piece . Only The starter needs to come out to get the cover on.
