1978 cj5 clutch for amc 401

I am swapping a 401 into my 1978 cj5 which currently has an amc 304 and t150 transmission. I am not sure what clutch kit to buy. Should I just get a stock replacement for the 1978 cj5 with amc304 or do I need to upgrade to a clutch for the amc 401? I think the full size jeep with 401s have a different throw out bearing which might not be compatible with my clutch fork, etc.

Any comments on a clutch kit for my application from someone who has done this swap?

Thanks.

Stock should be fine.

If you own a Renix Jeep, you'll want to check this out.

The stock 304 will be fine, but I would avoid a discount clutch (like AZ or Advance). Put one behind my 360 and it does ok but the clutch slips before the tires do. look into centerforce or luk clutches
