1977 CJ7 304 v8 carb issue

I have a HLY-122-57 4bbl carb with number 57 jets putting out 470 cfm. My 304 v8 recommended carb is a 2bbl, 287 cfm.
Can I make the 4bbl carb work if I change the jets? Being a 4bbl, would I need to reduce to a lower cfm jet or keep it around the same cfm? Lastly what size jets would I need to achieve the 287 cfm in the HLY-122-57 4bbl?

Changing the jets won't change the CFM.
Gaining CFM is why most people upgrade their carbs.
You will need a 4 bbl manifold and install the carb.
