I have a few 'Club' questions

Where do the monies go and what do they do?

Where is a financial report?

Who are the other officers?

Do we need to be a member of the club to wheel with our new friends at offical events?

Would ppl be turned away if they are not members and it's their second Offical Event if dues aren't paid?

Does the Club have a blanket insurance policy?

Where are the Bi-laws?

What do you receive if you Join as a Member?

Thanks
Gary

x2.

I would like to know how things work also. After paying my dues for the year I would like to see where they go. I searched around on the JGW.org sight and don't see anything about where dues are going.

I know you get a sticker when you join but from there....? I've seen some asking for donations for prizes so I know thats not it. I know its not my place to... Never mind it is my place to ask because I've paid. I know I am speaking for everyone when I say I would we would like to be able to look somewhere and see the way the funds are being spent. I mean with as many people pay in there should be enough funds for us as a club to join a group like tread lightly and do our part to help keep our trails open.

If this is not possible for any of this to be public knowlege then please pm me because we need to discuss some things.

Do not take this as being disrespectful twards anyone because after reading it back to myself I can see how it may come off that way. I am just one of many that has questions that I have not been able to find answer.

Most of our answer are on our "Club Members Form" that I have updated and Chris has copied them for all of us. I have mentioned that I have updated forms and our members and others are welcome to ask and have them but, many of our members have not responded about the updates. Though, I will be sending our updated Club Forms though mass email so,everyone will have a copy to them.
This will explain about our funds, rules, requirements and more.

Here's the exact words from our updated Club Forms from March 4th about our club funds.

All fees will go to our club funds such as: Website, decals, club clothing designs, events and more. No club funds will be used for personal gain.
All club members will be informed on request how much we have in our account. You will be shown a list of what has been spent from our funds.

Ok I just read my club forms and all it says," All club fees will go to our funds such as: Website, decals, club clothing designs, events and more." It also says that club members can be informed on request how much is in the account and that we will be shown a list of whats been spent from our funds.

I wouldn't mind seeing what we are planning on doing. I don't care how much money is in there. The raffles will pay for the prizes we give but as far as us as a club I would love to see us joining something important.

I would think these questions need to be answered Publicly vs Privately. Sorta like a lease or contract of sorts. Every contract I have ever signed was read first then payment second not the other way around. It throws up a red flag. Just trying to understand your reasoning.

I looked into a Jeep/4x4 club in Ky and was able to read the rules/bi-laws. In one read all my questions were answered. For reasons unknown it's a little different here.

When it comes to questions like I stated above I am to the point and blunt. No prankster here. Just need simple questions anwered in a public forum and not through calls/pm's.

thanks
Gary

This is an open forum but, since this is my club I wish to explain it though other means. I will only explain what is needed and explain the major details though a personal way; in person or by the phone so, I can explain things in detail. This is just a Forum to give information about our club but, I am not going to give full complete detail on here esp if one is not a club member. This is why I always offer my # as respect so, there is no hidden detail. Our club is open for everyone and if you feel uncomfortable there is no pressure in joining. We just invite everyone to join in and have fun with our club and members. If you feel this is the club for you then I will offer more information and hand out our Club Forms with all the details. This club designed how I want it to be and its going strong. Many clubs use other ways to organize their club and at times it gets to detailed with politics and more. Many times it's turns off for jeepers that what to join a jeep club. Our club is designed without the hassle and easy going so, everyone can enjoy the hobby we all love without the political things that run the club. I believe I am doing very well to make our club for what it is and many jeepers are joining because of how it's designed and organized. As I have mentioned, There is no pressure in wanting to join and if this is not what you are looking for in a jeep club, all we say is thank you for joining our run and hope you enjoyed our run and our members. I just like to thank the jeepers that joined our runs and if they were not interested I wish them luck in finding a jeep club that fits their needs.

I thought a club is supposed to be a family thing. Owned by all of us who HAVE paid their dues. I would like to see things posted for not only my curiosity but for everyones. I'm not asking you to post any financial stuff. I don't think I am asking to much. If this isn't possible to do and I am out of line in YOUR club than pm me so I can give you my address so you can refund my full membership payment I just gave up this weekend.

I joined because I enjoy wheeling. Everyone I have wheeled with out there has been great. I would go out of my way to lend my assistance to all of the Indy group. You can ask any of them. I would do the same for the Ill. group too if I wasn't so far away. And in return they have offered the same. These guys are like family, we are all like family.

Here are answers to all of Garys questions and some of your questions Robert

Where do the monies go and what do they do?
All fees will go to our club funds such as: Website, decals, club clothing designs, events and more. No club funds will be used for personal gain.

Where is a financial report?
All club members will be informed on request how much we have in our account. You will be shown a list of what has been spent from our funds.

Who are the other officers? We don't assign officers though we have positions that are assigned to help organized our club.

Do we need to be a member of the club to wheel with our new friends at offical events? As long as the park is open to the public, you do not. As far as our schedule night runs you must be a paid club member to join. The night runs are exclusively for OUR club with permission from the Badlands owners.

Would ppl be turned away if they are not members and it's their second Offical Event if dues aren't paid? They will not be eligible for certain benefits that our club offers like, night runs, special events, gift drawings and more

Does the Club have a blanket insurance policy?
No, this is why each member must have their own auto insurance and sign our waiver form.

Where are the Bi-laws? We do not have Bi Laws

What do you receive if you Join as a Member? You will receive 1 free club logo, personalized name tags, trail guides, spotters, night runs, drawings, web site, forum and more

I hope we are all like family. We are ONE Group. Just because we live in different area's does NOT mean we are separate groups. This is how I want it to be when other states will join in and become whole with "Jeeps Gone Wild".

I'd still like to know what we as a group are planning on doing. Other than our already scheduled runs. And not something copied from our handbook.

I give, I think I want to be left in the dark, I guess when( if) it happens I will see then. We'll see how this year goes.

I think these guys have posed some pertinent questions but I also understand your hesitation to post everything in an uncontrolled forum like JF. Since you have a mailing list of member's emails, maybe you could send out the updated forms and answer any questions that aren't covered in the forms?

And just my , but I joined JGW because I met a great group of folks, not the organizational details. I've been somewhat leery of all the new rules this year, but only because it was starting to feel like my hobby was getting complicated with rules, regulations, and stipulations to which I really had no input (and I get plenty of that at work) For instance, I've been looking unsuccessfully for a cheap 35" spare tire because I'm scared I'll "get in trouble" at our next outing. Don't get me wrong, I began looking before I saw Disney's "required items" post because it is just good practice, but I just can't spend the $$$ right now - does this mean I'm not allowed to meet up with all my new friends and wheel?

Nevermind - I must have spent too long writing this dialogue and Disney answered the questions...thanks!

I have many things and ideas planned for our club like, local parades, town events, going camping, club picnics, offroading in other states, design new events like our "Haunted Trail" and "Easter Egg Run", designing new items for our members to promote our club and many more.
If you and others have idea's for our club, I would respectfully like to know what are your ideas.
