Designing our trails for our "Official Runs"

Everyone that's a "Club Member" and runs the trails at the other offroading parks. Let's start to design some trails from Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced & Extreme. I know that some parks already have marked trails but, when you plan a "Members Only Run" please try to look out for some reasonable trails to run like we do at the Badlands. If you do this, everyone will get used to the trails and we can gradually introduce these parks as our "Official Runs". As for now, we'll keep these parks for our "Members Only Runs" but, for the future lets start to use these parks as our training areas as well as the Badlands.
You are welcome to rename the trails that are in the other parks.
And, if you find a cool trail that's not named you can name it.

Let's have some fun on designing new trails for the upcoming future runs and we look forward on running them.

Thank You,
Michael
Club President

michael, I know I am not the most experienced in the group, but with my stock jk I would like to volunteer to explore a beginners trail system at redbird since it's close to me and I should be going there quite a bit this coming offroad season. still being new to this might help me be a good judge of beginner pucker factor. of course I would have one of the official trail leaders run it though afterwards and see what they think.

One thing about redbird was the excellent job they had done marking the trails and respective difficulty.

Kris,

That's fine and thank you. You are welcome to check out the trails and to see what will fit our needs for the Beginners trail and their skill level. Remember, we will need 2 trails for the Beginners trail. When you are there, check out some other trails for the Intermediate group as well. But, I am sure our club members will also check out the trails and help us out with these new trails to run for our "Official Club Runs" Have fun & be safe when you're out there.

Thank You,
Michael

If anyone wheels and knows the trails pretty well at the Cliffs, lets keep that offroading park in mind.

I would like to know if any of our club members would like to scout out the Badlands during our upcoming runs or if someone plans a trip to the Badlands.
My plan is to have a few of our club members scout out the park so, we can design some "new trails" for our "Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced groups". I would like some new changes because, we cannot be running the same trails over and over and I would like to make our new trails interesting, somewhat challenging and fun. The trails that we are going to design should be somewhat long yet, passable so we can get our groups safely though the trails.
We'll try not to use the parks trails but design our own "Jeeps Gone Wild" trails and use them for our "Official Runs" Of course, we are going to run into the parks trails like the green, orange blue and others but lets turn off in other directions to make the trail a bit different for our use.
If possible we should design a trail that goes around the whole park that runs into all types of terrain yet again, passable for everyone from stock to built jeeps to get though safely.
When scouting and designing our trails this will be a task to do and should be done so, we can start to use these trails as soon as possible for our upcoming runs. I suggest to design them on paper and run the trails that you designed over and over so, when you lead the group it will run smoothly.
This should be a fun thing to do with our club members when designing these trails and this will help bond with our members.
Once we designed our new trails we can name the trails
So, if anyone is interested please inform me so, we can get rolling on some new "Jeeps Gone Wild" trails.
I look forward for our club members efforts in designing new trails for our club and I thank you.

Thank You,
Michael

I am interested in helping with this effort.

My TJ is pretty much stock and can be a good measure against the obstacles.

If its new trails you want lets try to hit up other offroad parks. This not only makes it different every time but it makes it where we don't get burnt out with the badlands.

I bet your getting tired of hearing from me

Like I have mentioned above, we'll use the other parks for our fun runs and Members Only Runs. When everyone gets used to those other parks, our members that is already used to the park and the trails can start to design some "New Trails" for our "Official Club Runs"

The Badlands is right in the middle where everyone can drive to that's a reasonable distance with great trails and good variety of terrains. When we go to the Badlands we are just only running 10% of the trails that we know of and have not even touched the whole park. I have been going there for 9 years and I still have not gone though the entire park. This is why I want some of our members to scout out the entire park so, we can use the park to our advantage and using different trails that we never ran before. So, for now we'll use the Badlands for our main park for our "Official Club Runs" and will use the other parks in the future.

Does the Badlands really support us "creating" new trails? They have a forum on their site with employees as mods, maybe it should be asked.

Also, last time I was there, I thought that a large portion of the park was ATV only and that we were exploring quite a bit of where we were allowed. I could be way off on this.

Designing a trail is not making a brand new path of our own and damaging their property and land. We will just be converting a new trail that they designed to make it our own style to enjoy for our club and others who will join our runs. I do know the managers of the park and they are open for our suggestions to help better the park and our club. I been going to that park for 9 years and this is also why we have the privilege of having a night run at their park and making other unique events like the Haunted Trail Run. I have respect the managers and their park as they have respect for our club and our members. I always ask them before we do things in their park so, they will be informed on what our club will do so, all is good with the Badlands and the owners.
