My hood vents are actually off a 1994-96 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I bought them on ebay. I prefer their styling over the ones off the UK orvis (same vents found on the North American 1998 ZJ 5.9L), they're also easier to find, and cheaper. They also have removable drip pans which is a nice touch for those of us that don't live in Arizona.

Here's a Link to them installed on a TJ
http://www.oman4x4.com/hoodventinstall.htm

A detailed thread SilverXJ made when he installed his GTP vents. I bought mine before he did, but that lucky bastard installed his before me lol.

Also another thread with a bunch of other vent options

I often wondered where euro XJs were manufactured. Were they imported from the US, or were they made somewhere in Europe.

Just as I suspected.... I remember reading an article a while back that Chrysler wanted to start manufacturing Jeeps in Austria for the European market so they could stop importing them... but for the life of me, I couldn't remember the rest of that article.

It was one of the 1st cars built over there and sent to us.
i think the ford probe was the 1st but we didn't like it at all. They tried to sell us a $12000 car for £20000 ... they sat in the showrooms like they had been nailed down. really didn't wash with us. it was not the replacement for the capri that we loved so much

the 2.5 sport started at £16500 ish up to £23,500 ish for the 4.0 se ltd.

However the Range Rover at the time started at about £38000 and the Discovery started at £17000 and went up to a staggering £32000 and the early ones were so unreliable and not as well equiped for £10000 more than the jeep.
