Whats your MPG?

What's your current gas mileage. If you could post your tire size / make, also that would be cool. It's a jeep and obviously the MPG is going to be less than spectacular. Just looking for a comparison. Thanks

I currently have 33 MT Baja Claws, 97 TJ 4.0 with an after market intake ( which I know is pointless but it came with the jeep), and I'm pulling 12 MPG.

2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2.5 inch short arm lift with 32x11.50s 42RLE transmission 4.0L along with 4.56 gears. I normally get about 14 to 15 no matter highway or city.

Did you notice a difference in mpg when you swapped gears? I'm getting ready to put ford 8.8 with a 4:10 on mine.

Well actually I stayed the same but, have alot more power especially around town and much better passing power on the highway. 3.73 is normally the best all around gear unless your running big meats then usually 4.10s or 4.56s or perfect. With mine the 42rle is geared so high on overdrive to even use it you need at least 4.56s even with small tires. 33s are larger need at least 4.88s. But, your 97 should be just fine with 4.10s rather it be the 32rh auto or the AX 15 standard if your going to run bigger meats.

stock wheels/tires at the moment - 245/65/17, 35 PSI @ 70F - 3.0L CRD/GDE EcoTune

I found this hard to believe myself but my last tank, hand calculated, 26.3 MPG (EVIC sez 24.8) and yesterday -

wait for it-

29.5 MPG @ 55 MPH

I swear this is the truth - you choose to believe (or not)

2014 4x4 JGC Overland with 5.7L Hemi and 8 speed auto, 3.09 gears, bone stock, average about 19mpg mixed freeway and city. Just went on a road trip and it averaged about 24mpg going no faster than 65 and a very light foot upon acceleration, and slowing down a bit when going up hills.

I swapped in an 8.8 axle with 4.10 gears, my old dana 35 had 3.08 in it. We'll see if that effects the mpg at all.

1998 ZJ 4.0 42RE auto, 3.55 gears. 2" BB on 31x10.5-15 agressive AT tires.

hand calculated 16.5 mix driving, and 20 highway. have seen as much as 22 highway on a long flat road trip, but the hills of KY lower it a bit.

Where in the KY are you located? I'm here for work for the next few months.

I only have numbers based on the EVIC but I get 18 mpg on the highway if I go around 75-76, but if I set Cruise at 69 I get 23mpg...not sure how accurate this thing is.

I have a 02 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 245/70/R16 Firestone A/T Tires
