Before I put a 2.5" lift and 31x10 procomp mt's on mine, I once did 75 to the club one night after work. This is with a 2.5L. IMO, mine's cruising speed is 50-60mph, 75 was quite a bit for 4 pissed off fireants.

I've never had mine over 20 mph... And at that speed the steering is seriously scary. I'm sure with the steering angles and alignment corrected, it could probably do 35. Hey, what do you want for an engine that's 60 years old?!
When I do the full rebuild/restore in a couple years (can't afford it right now), I'll try to get one of those Saturn/Warn OD units to boost the top speed.

I normally go about 75- 80 on the hwy, and it was vibrating a little due to worn tires. just got new tires this weekend and its glass smooth.
I have taken it to about 98mph (GPS reading) and it was very smooth, but a little high center of Grav.
My speedo is off and so i use my GPS unit as a gauge...
In my VW GTI I have gone to 120 stock before.

I've had it "cruising" at 100mph more than once. Didn't need to go full throttle, but the rpms's were higher than I'd like for maintaining the speed. I could see it doing 110+ foot to the floor, but I don't exactly have a death wish.

90 in the TJ, scared to death. but on a more humorous note, 128 in a Chrysler T&C. hahaha High School stupidity at its best.
