i've been up to 95. During ski season, I'm always in a huge hurry to get up to the mountains and there's some huge hills that I just fly down

Had my Comanche 2WD up a little past 85 mph. The speedometer only goes to 85. It was a little scary and I think that was about all she had. It was in Montana on an interstate and I was still having others pass me.

I have gone 100 on the speedometer in my 98 cherokee, but its getting older and it doesn't feel safe over 85 anymore. My 90 wrangler has only seen 73 and it was on a long flat stretch, but there is no reason to go that fast in an old wrangler. I don't even take that one on the turnpike out of respect to the normal flow of traffic.

For those of you who have hit the governor I have a question cause I will never be able to hit mine in my XJ lol. Does it kick down once you hit the governor? Like in my friends dodge 1500 he hits like 115 and all of a sudden its like whooom and it goes down to like 90.

this cracks me up. when i get up to about 40mph the hum from the 33" swampers gets pretty loud so 65 -70 is the fastest I'd go. + the center of gravity is about 3 feet off the asphalt or more and i've already rolled one suv in my life time. that was no fun
i'll stick to the law on the roads from now on. |

I want speed rated Michelin 40" or so tires for my J10 as it has 4.10s with .70 O/D and 350 ponies to push it. Should top out at 140 mph accounting for it being a flying brick.

The first time I drove it home I hit about 70-75mph on the interstate, then I looked at the fuel gauge....
