What's your Jeep's Top Speed?!!??
Hey guys there might already be a thread like this, but I couldnt find one soo...
Whats your jeeps top speed, or I should say how fast have you gone in your jeep, and lived to tell the tale? And yes I know Jeeps are not speed machines, Im just curious.

i've been up to 197.6 mph indicated...

had to figure it out using the tach but 112 to 115 then i realized death wobble would be bad and slowed down to 65

i have hit 75 no need to go faster i prefer seeing how slow i can climb a hill

It's always amusing to see every car pass me out on the highway. I usually go around 60-70mph. When I get around 75, things get scary (lots of vibrating).

ive maxed out the speedo before. was real scary and not stable at all. i miss my cadillac when i want to go fast on the highway

I'm glad i'm not the only one that doesn't feel comfortable much over 70mph. Short wheelbase, big tires, tall suspension, marginal brakes equal not the best high speed machine.

I've been all the way to the rev limiter/governor on my 05 Rubicon. Speedo was indicating 93MPH at the time the rev limiter/governor kicked it.
P.S. I also did this when I was first test driving my Jeep before I bought it. The salesman thought I was insane. I told him if I'm going to own it I want to know what it can do before I spend 30K on it! I think I scared the **** out of him lol |

I think I've had mine to about 70. I know it will go faster, just don't see a need to. I could get in the car or the truck if I wanted to go much faster. I didn't buy a Jeep for speeding across the country, certainly not through neighborhoods. That was for my young and stupid days.
