Got to just over 100 mph in our '98 Cherokee, once, on a straight stretch on I-84 in Oregon. Slowed down at that point because we were in an area known for State Police hiding out in unseen areas, just waiting for speeders like me. Didn't want to get a ticket, and I figured 100 mph in a Jeep was good enough! :-).

No vibrations, shaking, etc. Rode just as smooth at that speed as at our normal 65-74 mph speed on that highway.

With my Iron Duke it would go 58 on flat ground and that was a slow process. I had it 65 going down hill. The truck we were using to tow broke down, which was just fixed before we left. We were 3 hours into a 4 hour trip. I had to be in registration before a certain time. I drove that Jeep hard and although slow, that engine proved to be durable. It needed stock tires and 4.56s I think to be reasonable. Same Jeep with a very mild 305 I've had 85 mph and was too fast. I only have 33s but they are LTBs plus very stiff cheap springs. It was a handful. If it had been safe to do so I know it could do well over 100.

I'll confess I just bought a Liberty sport with 150,000 on the clock and I'm 58 so my top speed would be about 80-85 MPH cause one day I wasn't paying attention to my speed-O-meter

My first Jeep, an 07 Jeep Liberty sport, to keep me warm and dry in the winter,

2.5L. About 70-ish is the fastest I've had it. It might do 75 or 80 if going downhill. LOL

I got my 97 ZJ Limited 5.2L, RWD to 114mph the other day, then the governor kicked in. The old girl felt pretty stable to me. I be that if there was no governor, she'd get to 130 easy. At 114 she was only turning at around 3500rpm or so.

In mine at around 65 mph it start vibrating like crazy, but once I've gotten up to 75 mph and then the vibration goes away. I'm running 33s and a 2 inch lift in a 2002 tj. Its pretty scary at 75

I once went 81MPH in it, afraid to go any faster with the 4" lift and 33" tires. (06 TJ). She's our weekend "car", so I take it easy. Generally keep her at about 70 on the highway.

176 MPH flat out in the SRT
138 MPH in the CJ7

My new Trackhawk should be 180 mph

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled people make poor decisions and reach erroneous conclusions, but their incompetence denies them the meta-cognitive ability to realize their mistakes.
