you mean the projector in the foglight housing? It was part of a complete -- oem fit -- kit made for our Cherokees. They're still sold at http://www.rsw.de/shop/index.htm (look under XJ accessories), but I was lucky enough to find a kit for allot less on ebay.de (it pays to check ebay Germany... even if you don't understand German )

urban-yan, Nice work with lighting on your Jeep, looks great. I've been looking into HID retrofits for over a year now for my Mustang and bike, but haven't pulled the trigger. I think I'd like to test the waters and do a setup on my XJ first, and checked the suvlights.com site you mentioned, but can't find the headlight housing you've got...? For now I'd just like to do the headlight housings, with a bi-xenon. Any direct links and info you could steer me towards for XJ specific parts would be appreciated.

i'm leaning more and more to dropping a h4 hid bulb into a good quality h4 housing.

Yes, i'll lose the high beams, and yes, i'll use a shield.

I was also going to get a 3k amber hid bulb setup for the KC slimlites on the push bar, but hella apparently re-released the 500 series with a FF type reflector and clear unfluted lens, so I might get a pair of those to replace the slimlites.

Well -- if you're feeling adventurous with an aftermarket HID kit (opposed to oem) -- you can always buy a hi/lo HID H4 kit. The quality won't be as good as oem take-off parts, but you will retain your high beam. Alternatively, you can keep looking for that sylvania/osram X6054 kit.

Below is a more informative link. The lights aren't cheap, but keep in mind that this thread is full of useful advice... doing an HID kit on the cheap.

wait, thats the kit you're using, $500?

Thats only slightly more then i was expecting to pay for a set of good housings, and a set of quality h4 ballasts and bulbs.

That's the price per headlight.

(now I'm not saying that's what I paid.... I paid less, but there were quite a few reasons for my discount)

Thanks for the links. Where do you have your ballasts mounted? Some pics would be helpful if you've got em. Also any tips for the install?
